FrigginInTheRiggin

My Behavioural Breakthroughs...

Last Friday, I did something I haven't done in a long time. No, it wasn't some dirty, dark and illicit activity ... although Pamela Anderson might think so. I went fishing. I haven't fished in 8 years and it was my first time for large-mouthed bass. As well, I'm now doing something I've never done before ... due to harassment from two commentators on this site, I also finally decided to actually post something on my blog. Being new to this form of narcissistic behaviour, I hope I push the right buttons, both figuratively and literally.

The day began inauspiciuosly. I met my ride to the lake briefly the day before. Andre, seemed like a nice guy. He picked me up at my home at the predetermined time (6 a.m. - thanks Kwes), shook my hand and shortly thereafter, started to vomit violently. How does one make small talk after something like that? We got to the lake where Kwesi, our fishing-mad host was waiting for us. Got in the boat, casted two or three times, then went for breakfast. I had "Steak de la Terre-Neuve", aka baloney, with my two eggs, over-easy. Anyway, the whole morning had a very surreal feel to it.

I won't bore you with the blow-by-blow action. Trust me, Bob Izumi has nothing to worry from us. We caught a grand total of three fish. Kwesi was kind enough to give me his share and it made for a nice afternoon snack. One side benefit is it allowed me to have a commemorative picture taken with one of our unfortunate victims - I think this is Andre's fish, since it was the largest and I didn't feel like have my picture taken with my puny victim.
